Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)
(Version: May 2026)
1. Operator
These Terms & Conditions are issued by Claudio Scaramelli, a natural person operating as a sole trader under the trade name Slow&Well.

2. Scope of Application
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and services provided by Slow&Well, including:
  • Multi-day immersive narrative experiences in Val d'Orcia, Tuscany, Italy
  • The pre-journey preparation programme delivered digitally in the 30 days before the experience
  • The 30-day post-journey digital integration programme delivered via the Slow&Well Dream Valley platform
  • Any ancillary services agreed in writing at the time of booking
By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
Guests booking through an authorised B2B travel partner are also subject to the partner's own booking terms. In the event of conflict, these Terms & Conditions prevail with respect to the experience itself.
3. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings may be initiated through:
  • An authorised B2B travel partner
A booking is confirmed only upon: (a) receipt of the 40% deposit payment, and (b) written confirmation from Slow&Well by email. No booking is binding until both conditions are met.
Minimum lead time: 21 days between booking confirmation and the experience start date. Bookings with less than 21 days' notice are subject to availability and may carry a short-notice surcharge of 10%.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and are exclusive of VAT (Slow&Well is not VAT registered). Prices are also exclusive of accommodation, personal travel insurance, and transport to and from Val d'Orcia, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Payment Structure
  • 40% deposit — due at the time of booking confirmation
  • 60% balance — due 7 days before the experience start date
Accepted Payment Methods
  • Bank transfer (details provided in the booking confirmation)
  • Credit or debit card via Stripe
  • PayPal
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking, with the deposit forfeited.
5. Cancellation by the Guest
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to info@slowandwell.ch. The following fees apply, calculated on the total price of the experience:
Refunds due to the guest will be processed within 14 business days of the written cancellation request.
6. Cancellation or Modification by Slow&Well
Slow&Well reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an experience in the event of:
  • Adverse weather or environmental conditions that make safe outdoor delivery impossible
  • Force majeure — including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, or government orders
  • Circumstances beyond reasonable control that materially affect the safety or quality of experience delivery
In such cases, the guest will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund of all amounts paid. No further claims will be accepted.
Slow&Well does not cancel experiences on grounds of low participant numbers. Each experience is individually designed and delivered regardless of group size.
7. Participation Requirements
To participate in a Slow&Well experience:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older. Guests under 18 may participate only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
  • You must be in reasonable physical health sufficient to undertake outdoor walks of up to 8 kilometres on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.
  • You must disclose, at the time of booking, any medical conditions, physical limitations, or dietary requirements that may affect your participation or safety. This information will be handled in strict confidence as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You must sign a guest health declaration and liability waiver before the experience commences. This will be provided by email as part of your pre-journey documentation.
Slow&Well reserves the right to decline or adapt participation on safety grounds. In the event a guest is excluded on safety grounds after the cancellation deadline, the cancellation policy in Section 5 applies.
Group size: Experiences accommodate a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 guests.
8. Insurance
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance, personal accident insurance, and health insurance for the duration of the experience. It is strongly recommended that your travel insurance covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and curtailment.
Slow&Well carries public liability insurance covering the activities delivered during the experience.
9. Liability
Slow&Well takes all reasonable precautions to ensure participant safety. However, participation in outdoor experiential activities involves inherent physical risks, including uneven terrain, exposure to weather, and physical exertion. Participation is undertaken at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Slow&Well's liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation is limited to the total price paid for the specific experience booked.
This limitation does not apply to: (a) personal injury caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of Slow&Well; or (b) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory Swiss or EU consumer protection law.
Slow&Well is not liable for: consequential or indirect loss; loss of enjoyment; or loss or damage arising from force majeure or from the participant's own actions or omissions.
10. Intellectual Property
All narrative content, archetype scripts, guide materials, storytelling frameworks, sensory design elements, integration prompts, location routes, and experience methodologies used or delivered in connection with a Slow&Well experience are the exclusive intellectual property of Claudio Scaramelli, trading as Slow&Well.
Participants may not record, reproduce, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit any element of this proprietary content without prior written consent.
Participants are warmly invited to share their personal reflections and photographs of the landscape on personal social media. Please do not reproduce or paraphrase the archetype scripts, ritual texts, or guide narrative sequences in any public forum.
11. Photographs and Media
Slow&Well may photograph or record video during an experience for use in marketing and communications.
Participation in photography and video is entirely voluntary. Before the experience begins, guests who consent will be asked to sign a separate photo and media consent form. This consent is freely given and may be withdrawn at any time.
Guests who do not consent will not be photographed or filmed and will not be disadvantaged in any respect. Withdrawal of consent applies to future use only; content already published prior to withdrawal cannot be recalled.
12. Digital Guest Platform
Slow&Well provides access to a digital guest platform (the Slow&Well Dream Valley App) as part of the experience. The platform delivers the pre-journey preparation programme and the 30-day post-journey integration programme.
Use of the platform is subject to these Terms & Conditions and to the Privacy Policy below, both of which govern the processing of personal data collected through the platform.
13. Modifications to Services or Terms
Slow&Well reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions. The version published on the website at the time of booking confirmation is the version that applies to that booking. Material changes will be communicated to active guests by email.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Canton Zürich, Switzerland.
For guests who are consumers resident in an EU member state, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence apply to the extent they cannot be excluded by contract.
